Rio Grande Scenic Rail Excursions
Ride the train from La Veta to Alamosa or from Alamosa to Toltec Gorge. Steep grades and cliff-hanging curves await you on the new excursion trains leaving from downtown Alamosa , Colorado , in the heart of the San Luis Valley . Once the rail hub of the region, in 2006 Alamosa is the departure point for the two mountain-climbing train trips, the San Luis Express and the Toltec Gorge Limited .
