Installing MyLibraryDV on your home computer

1. You must be connected to the internet through a broadband connection. (ie. Cable or DSL)
2. Click on the MyLibraryDV icon at the bottom of this page.
3. Follow instructions to install software on your computer. (This can take a few minutes depending on the speed of your internet connection. This will create an icon named “Spanish Peaks Library District”.
4. Double-Click this icon to start the software.
5. Click any of the video categories along the right side of the browser (Movies, Documentaries, Food, etc.)
6. This will bring up a list of sub-categories on the left side of the browser. This is to help you refine your search through the video listings.
7. In the center section of the browser will be a list of videos available, at first just a few across the bottom of the screen. Click the “Show All” button at the bottom and it will produce a larger listing.
8. Some categories may have several pages of videos available. You can go forward and back through the various pages for that category by clicking the appropriate button at the bottom-right of the video listing screen.
9. Once you have selected a video you would like to watch simply click on it and another box will pop-up on the screen with a brief description and some basic information about it (Title, size, run time, etc.). It will also have a button marked “Download”. Click this button.
10. You will then be asked to input your library card number. You will need to put an upper-case P in front of your number. If your card number is less than 4 digits you will need to add enough 0's (zeros) in front of it to make it 4 digits (but no more than 4). For example: P0002
11. It will then take a few minutes to acquire the licensing and then you will see a button marked “Play” where it used to say “Download.”
12. Click “Play” and Enjoy!!
