Instructions To Access OPAC Account

SPLD has joined the AspenCat union catalog, giving you access to many more items, e-books, and other resources.

However, AspenCat only recognizes 14-digit barcodes, and many of our patrons have older 4-digit library cards. So we’ve added a prefix to these library account numbers to make them work with the new software.

If your library card looks like this:

library card barcode and 4-digit card number

4-digit library card

the card number you will use to log in to the online catalog is 272040000, followed by the number on the back of your library card, including the P:

P0000 becomes 272040000P0000

We are phasing out the use of these older cards. Please drop in at the library at your convenience and we will give you a new card, free of charge.

If your library card looks like this:

library card barcode and 14-digit number

14-digit library card

you’re ready to go! Just type in the ENTIRE 14-digit number on your card.

For all patrons, the password is your last name in lower-case letters.

You can edit your password, and other personal information, once you’re logged in. You can also place holds from the SPLD collection and the collections of all the libraries in the system; check the status of your holds and checkouts; renew items; and access other services.

Please call or drop by for assistance.
