Walsenburg, Colorado - WebCam

The camera is mounted on a hill overlooking town towards the Southwest. The two peaks in the background are the Spanish Peaks.

The static image is updated about once every minute, 24 hours a day. You can view the latest image by clicking on your web browser's refresh button.

The timelapse movies run roughly sunrise to sunset of the capture date and are updated about once a month. More often if we think something is interesting. The movie files are in MPEG format at 320x240 resolution and 16 bit color depth. The same as the static image. They average about 10MB in size and the duration of the movie is about 60 seconds. Some of the movies will have a small preview animation running in the date column in place of the thumbnail image. This is not the same size and resolution as the actual movie. It is a one-third size preview of the actual timelapse movie.
