The Library Board of Trustees will continue to monitor this situation and keep the community apprised should these circumstances change. The health and safety of our staff, patrons, and the Huerfano County community is of utmost importance.
In response to the pandemic, the Spanish Peaks Library District is taking the following measures to ensure the safety of patrons, staff, and our surrounding community:
All Patrons are required to wear a mask when inside the Spanish Peaks Library. If you do not have a mask with you, the library has a limited supply of individually sealed, disposable masks. Hand sanitizer is available throughout the library.
Park & Pickup Service
Park and Pickup Service is available to all patrons who do not wish to come into the library building. For further details, call the library at 719-738-2774 or visit https://www.spld.org/about-us/curbsidepickup/.
Publicly accessible computers are available to patrons. Check in with the circulation desk to use a computer. After each user, all workstations are cleaned by library staff.
Meetings and Events
Meetings and Events are still being held in our community meeting room. All individuals inside the library must wear a mask in accordance with the library’s mask policy.
Due Dates and Overdue Fines
Due dates have been extended and overdue fines will be forgiven during this period. Materials must be returned to the book drops and will be held overnight before handling by library staff.
WiFi is available to patrons throughout the building and in the surrounding parking lot and patio space.
